Celebrating life and biodiversity

Nature in the spotlight

In Strasbourg, Christmas also provides an opportunity to take a closer look at the natural world and celebrate the richness of biodiversity. This year, the city is offering a program that combines exhibitions, art installations, and themed walks, inviting visitors to explore nature in all its forms and rediscover the city with curious and wonder-filled eyes.
The recently reopened Zoological Museum has become a prime venue for this celebration of life. Its collections and newly renovated spaces help visitors understand species diversity and the importance of preserving our local and global ecosystems. Through educational workshops, meetings with naturalists, and immersive exhibitions, people of all ages can learn about observing and protecting flora and fauna.
Trails through the city and its green spaces, punctuated by artistic creations inspired by nature, offer a moment of reflection and wonder, where art, ecology, and scientific discovery converge. Strasbourg thus invites everyone to celebrate nature, to become aware of its fragility, and to marvel at its beauty, all while enjoying the magical atmosphere of the holidays.
By combining Christmas lights, artistic creations, and ecological initiatives, Strasbourg transforms the city into a place where life and biodiversity take center stage, offering visitors a unique and responsible experience in the heart of Strasbourg, the Christmas Capital.
