L’exposition « Martin Luther King – Droit à la liberté » s’installe à la Bnu de Strasbourg.
La Bibliothèque nationale et universitaire (Bnu) et la Fondation René Cassin – Institut international des droits de l’Homme en partenariat avec The King Center (Atlanta) et REAL EXPO (France), présentent l’exposition « Martin Luther King – Droit à la liberté », du 18 septembre 2026 au 17 janvier 2027. Une exposition exceptionnelle présentée pour la première fois en France Initiée par le Musée du Prix Nobel de Stockholm, le commissariat de l’exposition est assuré par Ashley Woods en étroite collaboration avec Bernice A. King, fille de Martin Luther King et CEO du King Center, qui décrit l’exposition comme « la plus complète jamais réalisée sur mon père ». Selon le commissaire de l’exposition, Ashley Woods : « Cette exposition a pour objectif de mettre en lumière le combat et les réussites de Martin Luther King. Elle soulève aussi des questions sur nos droits fondamentaux. Elle souhaite encourager la pensée, la discussion et l’action ».
Un voyage immersif dans l’histoire et l’actualité des droits humains.
L’ exposition plonge le visiteur au cœur du mouvement des droits civiques des Afro-Américains des années 1950-60 et dans la vision non-violente et l’engagement de Martin Luther King pour l’égalité et la justice sociale à l’aide de nombreux documents historiques, photographies, objets, musiques, archives télévisées et interviews exclusives. Un dispositif interactif, « Dream Builder - le Constructeur de rêves », invite le public à s’interroger sur les droits fondamentaux et à s’engager dans la réflexion et l’action. Les enjeux portés par Martin Luther King, et en particulier son idéal de droits humains et de justice sociale pour tous, étant aujourd’hui plus que jamais d’actualité, rendez-vous le 18 septembre à la Bnu pour découvrir l’exposition.
